Considering this fact, the Universities are also taking initiatives to make their students global resources. With the world becoming a smaller place, it has also become important for the educational institutions to equip its students with the traits where in they fit easily in all situations and environments. This is possible, only when the students get practical exposure to the various practices and policies in different countries. Understanding the need of the hour, various steps are being taken. Recently, LPU has discussed about an MoU with University of Missouri where in its engineering students shall be able to study in that campus.

University of Missouri and LPU the two prominent names in the field of education are taking this initiative to mark the new change in the field. Missouri University is considered one of the nation's top-tier institutions of the world and has a reputation of excellence in teaching and research. LPU has also set its delivery standards and earned the stature of the biggest University in India. “We found LPU very similar to our working pattern, strategy and quality which is why it was thought that both would be able to perform at ease and the tie up would create a global workforce,” said Dr Lax Akers, Associate Dean, University of Missouri.

The students studying in the under graduate engineering courses shall be eligible under this MoU to complete half of their course at LPU and the other half at Missouri University. The MoU will be for those students who would take admissions in the engineering courses this session. “This collaboration is aimed to benefit the students in terms of knowledge enhancement and practical experience so that they can carry that with them in their professional life.
