Robotics and CIM Expert, Er. Omri Koppel, from Israel delivered informative guest lecture on Robotics and CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) at Lovely Professional University. It was held at the Faculty of Technology and Sciences of the University for its faculty-members and the students. The faculty members of mechanical engineering department got much benefitted through this guest lecture by imbibing latest trends and additions in the fields of Robotics and CIM. It is illustrative that being focused on Robotics, the expert explored and explained state of the art design and the products needed to bring robots to the next level. He delivered a nice compilation of current robotics trends on propulsion, power sources, vision, 3D prototyping and much more. He quenched the knowledge-thirst of the faculty members by answering towards what's next in robotics design; CAD tools evolve to advance robotics applications; introduction of 3D CAD technology; development of robotics technology, systems, and applications; visualization, and simulation tools.
On contacting, Mr Koppel a CIM Engineer with a world renowned robotics company and industrialist automation specialist, said: "The two technologies, towards Robotics and CIM, have advanced in parallel because computer-based development allows inventors, designers, and engineers to move beyond a trial-and-error, build-and-test approach into the more efficient, affordable, and revealing world of virtual design." He also exclaimed: "I am also very happy to feel the international standard in all the occupations of the University, may it be towards infrastructure, hostels, faculty, students, libraries or laboratories. In fact, the efforts taken towards these all are self-explanatory."
The Chancellor of the University, Mr. Ashok Mittal said: "We always try to accord our faculty and students to keep on updating themselves in regard to the continuous modifications and transformations in the realms of education. The present lecture on Robotics by an international delegate from Israel is on these lines only." He also added: "We want that being research and projects oriented our faculty and students should leave no stone unturned to reveal the world their potentialities and abilities, of course, through such take in”.
