Informing more, the Pro Chancellor of the University, Ms Rashmi Mittal said: "Our University has, both academic and non-academic, partnerships and tie- ups with world class foreign universities and institutes across the globe, including USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Brazil, Poland and Ghana. And, after successful completion of the programme or as defined in the agreement, such a student gets entitled to receive degree from the concerned foreign partner University. We have more than 25 Partners across the globe with similar arrangements."

It is illustrative that these Twinning Programmes are of much importance and value for a foreign aspiring student. A student chooses the right path through these to study in the country of his/her dreams, instead of getting ruined in wrong hands. He /She gets globally mature enough to exist prominently in the current scenario learning latest trends and techniques from the top Universities of the world. Moreover, the fee structure for such a programme is far less in comparison to getting direct admission in a foreign university. As such, LPU is providing the students an opportunity to get exposed to learning methods and cultures across the globe to emerge as professionals with ability to cross cultural situations. These enable students to have qualitative education for bright settlement in life. The best benefit of a twinning programme is the potential of foreign placement for a student aiming career in MNC or global organization.

It has declared Top 50 MCA Institutes in India and Top 10 Institutes Zone Wise- North, East, West & South. The sole parameter of judging an Institutes' quality is the performance of its students in the industry- measured by their pay package. Thus, this list is entirely based on a single parameter- CTC (Cost to Company) of a graduate after five years of work experience.

For this, a perceptual study was conducted among HR managers, recruitment firms and job boards. The companies/institutes were chosen carefully to ensure that the HR managers/professionals interviewed were involved with recruitment and had a fair idea about the market. Over 3000 MCA graduates who graduated in the year 2006 were interviewed across the six metros - Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai. And, after an exhaustive research and analysis, the lists of top Govt. /private institutes, across India and in each zone, were made out.

Continuing he said: "Such rankings are helpful to both IT Organizations and students as from these they may go ahead easily for the Institute of their liking, preference and value." It is worth noticing that there is a great need of nearly 1.5 million MCA graduates in the Indian IT industry by next decade.

Illustrative, National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) is the premier trade body and the chamber of commerce of the IT industries in India. Here, Seed Grant is providing needed money to project ideas and programmes that are just getting started, or to jump-start to put ideas into action. It can also be used towards expanding projects that are already developed and sustainable. On these lines, as an encouragement to the research scholars, the University is providing financial assistance to its staff and students on an annual basis. This is to provide them an opportunity to learn and exchange ideas with experienced people from the Academia and the Industry. As such, Innovations from the research scholars, in concurrence with the vision of the University, will take LPU to glorious heights in the field of research. In this context, the upcoming of the Research and Development Block, in the premises of the University, is being eagerly anticipated by the aspiring Ph D students.
