Rocking Performances Concluded the Youth festival at Lovely Professional University

Folk as well as Western Dances stole the show on last day of the annual youth festival of Lovely Professional University. Rocking performances by multi-talented students of the University compelled all the viewers and audience to sing dance and feel greatly along with them. The enthusiastic audience responded with gusto and applauding. The second and final day witnessed Geet, Gazals, Giddha, Bhangra, Folk and Western Dances, and various other Show stealing performances of 25 Indian States and 16 countries. This day's events also included competitions in light vocal, Solo, Mimicry, Mime, Debate, on the Spot Painting, Clay Modelling, Rangoli etc.

Other stalls at different blocks of the university had competitions in poster making, Tattoos Ikebana, Dance, Robotic , LAN Games, Sports, Quiz Show, Band Performances, Fashion Parade, Mehndi, Face Painting etc. Jalebi Junction, Mitran Da Dhaba and other food stalls of tongue tasting stuffs attracted the gluttonous very much. Prior to this, on the first day the inaugural day has already seen the classical, cultural & rainbow display of art. Seven Popular Bands of the University also continued performing through out on both the days and made more than 20,000 students dance to their melodies. Students, teachers and other members of the staff enjoyed fun and frolic got through the different Festive organizations.

The chief guest of the day was Mr Ashok Mittal, the Chancellor of the University. Congratulating On the brilliant organization of the youth festival of mammoth dimensions, he said: “ Such organizations keep all of us full of youth, vitality and vigour not only in deeds and actions but in thoughts and plannings also. Moreover, these give us an opportunity to work together under a great feeling of oneness, equality and determination with proper understanding towards culture, customs, traditions of not only ours but that of all other paricipants hailing from different states and countries.”

All the competitions were beautifully judged by Mr Ajit Rai(Theatre & Journalism), Mr HG Roy(Kathak Kala Kendra) & Mr Padam Chand( National Bal Bhawan)- specially invited judges of versatility and immense reputation from New Delhi. In the evening, Mr. Mittal distributed the prizes to the winners of different competitions. He was accompanied by Ms Rashmi Mittal, the Executive Dean of the University.The LIECA School was declared over all Champion.
