Prominent Entertainer Raju Shrivastva titled the New-Students to the Core at Lovely Professional University

In order to get the New – Entrants well acquainted & accustomed to different systems of the University, the management of the Lovely Professional University organized under grand celebrations a week- Long colourful & Informative Induction Programme. The last phase of this continuous programme was handed over to the ‘King of Comedy’ and famous Bolly-Wood as well as TV Star, Raju Shrivastva, who performed at Shri Baldev Raj Mittal Square located near LIT Engineering Block of the University to entertain and greet the ‘fresh’ students amid fun and laughter. He titillated the whole audience through his special mimicry, antics, histrionics, mono- and dialogues of varied laughing-stuff.

The most popular Indian Comedian created laughter by his acute perception and comical timing taking various Indian aspects of life. He won over the hearts of the students, their parents, guests and members of the staff through a very special style of his own. He was liked and applauded by all. Taking examples from his early struggle-full life, he also delivered a great message of being always cheerful under all circumstances to win and cross over the unwanted hurdles in one’s life. In fact, being a good mimic, Raju nursed the dream of becoming a comedian since childhood. In his school time he used to imitate his teachers and Amitabh Bachchan.

Two of the students Sonaxi and Surbhi Gupta said: “ We and our parents are really thankful to the conceivers and designers of this specially formulated Induction Programme through which we gathered all about the university and city, its functioning related to us. As newcomers, We have also got a special ‘Guide Hand-Book’ which has complete information about the university rules and regulations and other important information and contact numbers for future reference. Once we were scared to join a professional Institution as we used to regularly hear the said tales of ragging, callous attitude of the senior students and indifference of other members. But, the altogether different and homely atmosphere at the university, all full of warmth and welcome through a carnival by old students, the management and teachers, has really elated us to have joined it.”

On this occasion, the Chancellor of the University Shri Ashok Mittal said: “ All the students are welcomed to start afresh their new professional life to come up to the expectations of all those who regularly care for them. They have many duties of utter responsibilities towards their nation, parents and alma mater in the forthcoming years. Life is not easy as it seems. It is full of challenges, competitions, struggles etc. One may not know how many moments of sadness and allied emotional ups and downs must the today’s king of comedy and other successful persons have faced to acquire present status. WE must all make us so strong through our learning from others that nothing negative should stand in our straight way.”
